I came across a neat site that does a very good job of converting regular pictures into FavIcons. FavIcons From Pics is one of the services from HTML-Kit. In addition to generating a FavIcon from the uploaded image file, it also provides a nice ZIP download package with your new FavIcon and an informative ReadMe file.
