The Pigeons – May 31, 2008
Day 21 of the Pigeon Chronicles…
Three weeks! I have watched the little pigeon family in our balcony grow from little chicks to almost fully grown pigeons and it has been a rewarding experience.
Today I found the chicks in one of the other pots. The timid one immediately hopped back to their nest but the other chap just stood there are stared at me
BlogJet – Blogging Client
The two previous posts were made with BlogJet. I am trying to find the perfect blog client to manage this blog and have looked at three products so far.
So far BlogJet looks the most promising. I post a lot of images and good image management support, particularly auto generation of thumbnails and uploading without FTP, is a very big deal. The downside is the price
I haven’t played with w.bloggar much yet. The editor with it’s HTML tags in plain view kind of put me off but I am happy to live with that if the image management is good. Lets see how it works out.

Day 20 of the Pigeon Chronicles…
The chicks are almost fully grown now. The soft yellow down on their bodies has almost completely disappeared. And their beaks no longer look ridiculously large for their bodies.

Day 19 of the Pigeon Chronicles...
Momma was trying to keep herself between her babies and I. The chicks have grown so large now that she wasn't having much success.

Crafts at Home During The Summer Holidays
Mamli & Bablu are in the middle of their summer vacations and raising hell
. School reopens on June 16. Books for the new academic year have been purchased along with the new black Reebok shoes mandated by the school authorities.
In the meantime Padmaja has them busy with various activities at home (I never can figure out how she finds the time between work and home). The last big ticket item was pot painting. I came home one day last week to find the two painted pots drying in the balcony.
When I came home from work the next day the pots had vanished from the balcony. Mamli & Bablu, with Padmaja's help, have setup a display in one corner of the dinning room. I haven't taken photos of that yet. Keep forgetting to do so in the morning. Maybe this weekend.
