Bablu Returning From School

Bablu is in Kinder Garten (Upper KG) at Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan's Public School, Vidyashram, at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. He goes to school by bus with his elder sister, Mamli. Bablu returns from school at about 1.00 pm and Mamli at 4.00 pm. On Dec 16 last year I was on leave and picked him up from the bus stand instead of the maid. I took this photo as he was getting off the bus. I love the way his eyes light up when he sees either Padmaja, my wife, or I waiting to pick him up. And the way he immediately tries to hide it under a lot of bluster

Bablu and the Bobbing Man – Bhubaneswar

During our recent trip to Bhubaneswar, Padmaja, my mother-in-law, Mamli, Bablu & I went shopping to the Bapuji Nagar market. Padmaja wanted to visit the new Kolkata Bazar.

While the ladies were busy shopping Bablu and I walked around the store. Bablu was checking out the toys and I the girls

Anyway, Bablu found the bobbing man toys but was rather skeptical initially. He had never seen one before and took a lot of encouragement to approach it. He soon out how much fun they were

Bablu's School Work

Last week Bablu handed me a sheet of paper with what looked like a lot of scribbles and drawings on it. Initially I could only stare at it, bewildered. Then a pattern started to emerge. I finally noticed the number 14 on the top right corner and realized that he had given me his class work

Bablu is in his first year of Kinder Garten (LKG) and they are learning common 3 letter words now. Dog, Pig, Log, Bag, Pen, Pot, Cat etc. They use the phonetic sounds when spelling each word and also draw little pictures of the object in question.
