Today I visited the local chemist with Bablu. I wanted change for a 500 Rupees note to pay the auto which would take me to the International Airport later in the afternoon to catch my flight to Dubai. I waited while the shop assistant waited on two young men wearing rough clothes who wanted tablets [...] When we shifted to Juhu last September I went looking for a barber in the locality. I found a good saloon opposite the C-DAC building. I have been using their services ever since. Today I was the first customer after the shop opened and didn’t have to wait. Note that this is an up market, [...] Saturday evening I used the Indian Government’s online passport application application to apply for new passports for my kids and for renewal of Padmaja’s passport. We moved to Mumbai recently and I was afraid of the documentation that would be required. The application process itself was smooth and straightforward.
