Day 20 of the Pigeon Chronicles…

The chicks are almost fully grown now. The soft yellow down on their bodies has almost completely disappeared. And their beaks no longer look ridiculously large for their bodies.

Momma was trying to keep herself between her babies and I. The chicks have grown so large now that she wasn’t having much success.

Day 15 of the Pigeon Chronicles…

Today was a rather busy day, what being a Sunday and all. I didn’t get a chance to photograph the chicks in the morning and did so only after we returned from our evening out with Raghu and Jaya. I was surprised to see that Momma wasn’t in residence at 10.45 p.m. The chicks were huddled together and didn’t like my mobile phone’s camera flash I don’t blame them. I would be irritated too if I was sleeping peacefully and some idiot came along and shone a nasty bright light in my eyes after rudely waking me up
